If you’re anything like me, you like to see what it is you’re investing in.
Having a new baby is a big enough life-changing, whirlwind without the anticipation of a newborn session and not knowing how it works, what you have to do and how it’s going to pan out.
So here’s a little sneak peek into my world and what I do for my clients.
…Preparation and personalisation
During the booking stage, I ask you to complete a questionnaire. This gives you the chance to advise me on what you’d like to get out of the session; who’s coming to the session, any particular images you’d like to capture, your style and the colours you gravitate towards.
This questionnaire gives me the inspiration I need to prepare for your session.
I have hundreds of props; blankets, buckets, bowls, headbands, bonnets and boxes so I can put together for you, a unique set of set-ups, ready for your session. I also like to incorporate seasonal foliage depending on when your little one’s born.
In the morning before your session, I’ll heat up the studio to 28 degrees (it’s not that I like working in these conditions, it’s for your little ones so they’re nice and comfy during their session!).
With all my set ups prepared, we make sure your newborn is well fed and burped and then we can set to work.
A session can take up to 3 hours depending on how often your little one needs to feed. But we work around them so we don’t rush through it.
